KAM
KAM, whose seeds were planted in 2010 by trumpet artist Can Ömer Uygan in Galata, released their first single independently in 2013 on SoundCloud under the name "KAM - Studio Session." Their music is influenced by improvisation, psychedelia, and Anatolian motifs. This was followed by albums such as "Kam - Live" (2016), "Kam" (Shalgam Records, 2019), and "Kuz" (Gülbaba Records, 2022).
In their performances, KAM explores the realms of experimental folk-rock and jazz, while also blending Eastern elements within the same context. They held their first concerts in 2011 as part of the "BaÅŸka Sesler BaÅŸka Åžeyler" festival, invited by Åženol Küçükyıldırım. In recent years, the group has been featured in festivals such as the Istanbul Jazz Festival, XJazz Istanbul, Sound Of Istanbul, and Istanbul Coffee Festival, in addition to performing at various jazz clubs and venues.
KAM describes their performances, characterized by a prominent sense of ceremony, as follows: "The intertwining sounds of the trumpet, keyboards, guitar, bass, and drums come together, evolving over time and presenting the moment to the listener.
